Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Under general supervision, organize and direct the activities and operations of the Accounting Department; review controls and accountability of District income, expenditures, year-end closing reports and audits; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Requirement: Increasingly responsible experience successfully supervising accounting work. Any combination of education and related experience equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, including courses in the area of accounting.
