ASSEMBLY BILL 2534 (AB-2534) REQUIREMENT Effective January 1, 2025, per Section 44939.5 of the Education Code: (c) (1) A person applying for a certificated position at a school district, county office of education, charter school, or state special school shall provide that prospective employer with a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, and state special school that the applicant has previously been an employee of. To request information about applicants previously employed by CUSD in compliance with AB-2534, please email the Human Resources Department at AB2534verification@cusdk12.org.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED MATERIALS: *Valid CA Credential authorizing service in area of assignment. *Letter of Interest *Résumé *Three Letters of Reference *Transcripts *CBEST Applications not containing ALL required materials as attachments may not be considered.

PLACEMENT ON SALARY SCHEDULE: The starting salary for a new teacher who holds, or is eligible to hold, a California Preliminary or Clear (or equivalent) credential shall be step 3 within the appropriate column. EXPERIENCE: Newly hired certificated employees shall be credited with no more than eight years of prior certificated experience and will be placed no higher than the ninth step of the salary schedule. TRANSFERS: Interested teachers employed by the Calexico Unified School District must apply via Edjoin, and attach a copy of the required credential; other materials are not mandatory.
