Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; provide routine clerical support.

EFFECTIVE 2022/23 SCHOOL YEAR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School graduate or the equivalent. Associate Degree or 48-semester units of college course work from an accredited college or university. Or Testing: Passing scores on District Paraprofessional test, within the last three (3) years. Experience: Sufficient experience working with school-age children in an organized setting or learning environment. Any combination of training and/or experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered. Other: Spanish/Bilingual Desired WORK YEAR AND WORKING HOURS: Elementary School Sites:6 hours per day; 181 days per year; 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Middle School Sites:6 hours per day; 181 days per year; 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. High School Sites:6 hours per day; 181 days per year; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
