Requirements / Qualifications

TK Instructional Assistant QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION - Must possess or qualify for Site Supervisor Permit through CTC o Option 1) Associates degree or completion of 60 semester college units including: 32 semester units of ECE or Child Development including 3 core areas of Curriculum, Child/Family/Community, and Child Growth and Development, six units in administration and supervision, two units in adult supervision, and 350 days of experience (including at least 100 days supervising adults) in the last 4 years o Option 2) Bachelor's degree or higher, and twelve semester units in ECE or child development, and three units in supervised field experience EXPERIENCE - At least 1 year of experience working with children ages 0-6 years old

Under general supervision of the Expanded Learning Site Manager, Early Learning Instructional Assistants will work in the after school extended learning programs to support safe and enriching recreational programs for elementary students in grades TK-3rd grade. Assist with curriculum implementation including full compliance with the State Department of Education, Early Learning Division, and Title 5 regulations.
