Job Summary
The job of Principal - Elementary School is done for the purpose/s of promoting and maintaining high student achievement by providing curricular and instructional leadership, maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing, and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining a safe school environment; coordinating site activities and communicating information to staff, students, parents, and community members. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: Incumbents in this class must have had previous experience with the administration of school site programs. Incumbents work within a framework of standard District policies and procedures and State and Federal laws. Incumbents must be able to provide leadership and manage a flexible schedule. This job reports to Deputy Superintendent - Educational Services or Designee
