Job Summary

Job Summary

The Poway Unified School District is looking for Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Under the general supervision of the school site principal and a Director of Special Education, the SLP is responsible for the assessment and specialized instruction of students with disorders of language, speech, and hearing. Clinical Fellows will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: Possession of a valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential - Language, Speech, and Hearing Master's degree or higher in speech language pathology *Clinical Fellows will be considered and encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Current resume 2. Current copy of transcripts (Official transcripts will be needed at hiring for salary placement). Note that a maximum of 9 years of verified school district (non-agency) SLP experience, will be granted resulting in placement up to Step 10. 3. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation signed within the last 12 months. It is recommended that at least one (1) come from a supervising administrator. 4. Letter of Intent addressed to Charan Kirpalani, Director of Human Resources 5. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 6. All applications must be submitted through EdJoin; no hard copy documents will be accepted. **$1,000 yearly stipend for a full time position and prorated for a less than 100% position. Stipend pays tenthly. ***$500 reimbursement annually for certification and license fees beyond the basic credential.
