(2) Completion of the Target Success Sketch questionnaire is required when filling out your application. It is part of the Edjoin application process. SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Principal, perform a variety of specialized duties in the development and implementation of designated functions and services of a comprehensive prevention program for district students; assist with the instruction of students in substance abuse and intervention education programs; identify students as at-risk for drugs and alcohol involvement and provides support, intervention and referrals as appropriate; disseminate information to students, staff and to the community regarding substance abuse awareness and other self-defeating behaviors that are barriers to education; communicate with students, teachers, parents, site administrators and community agencies to assist in the evaluation of students progress and to make appropriate referrals; assist with coordinating prevention education training programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented college-level course work in substance abuse prevention, psychology, sociology or related field and two years of experience working as a counselor to at-risk students in the areas of drug prevention and intervention.
