Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director of Student Services , employee will provide Special Education Assessments to students enrolled in Pacific Coast Academy. The Occupational Therapist service as a member of the PCA Assessment Team and will collaborate as well as consult with the team members. The Occupational Therapist-Registered (OTR) will help students improve their ability to participate in desired daily school activities. The OTR will assess students to determine if they require assistance in learning and developmental activities. The OTR assess students who have conditions that are mentally, physically or developmentally disabling. As an employee of Pacific Coast Academy, he/she will follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the PCA Personnel Handbook.
Requirements / Qualifications
Occupational Therapists employed by a charter school are required to hold a certificate of clearance. Please add a copy of of CoC or the application for the CoC to this OT application. - Certification (Must possess the appropriate license or certificate issued by the American Occupational Therapy Association and California Board of Occupational therapy (CBOT) which requires certification from the National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).)
- Copy of Transcript (Any combination equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or related field or certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Reference (Two (2) Letters of Reference)
- Resume
- Other (Certificate of Clearance)
