Requirements / Qualifications

These are 10 month positions and hours will vary but cannot exceed 3.75 hours/day. Training and Experience: A good work history which demonstrates dependability and reliability. Knowledge of: School safety rules and regulations. Safety precautions appropriate to student activities. Student behavior management strategies and techniques. School and recreational activities. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Basic written and spoken English. Ability to: Establish and maintain professional relationships and conduct with staff, students, and parents. Supervise and discipline students according to approved policies and procedures. Work in a cooperative manner with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and other duty staff. Serve as a model and work with students in a manner that promotes positive student cooperation and motivation. Use sound judgment in dealing with daily problems, concerns and solving conflict. Communicate in a clear concise manner to students, administrators, teachers, parents and other duty staff. Understand and carry out instructions from administrators or other school personnel. Respond to emergency situations including fire drills and lock-downs. Act quickly and make decisions. Your completed and signed official district application through Edjoin, in person or USPS.
