Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Designated SELPA Administrator and the SELPA Program Manager, the Educational Audiologist will support the identification, intervention, and education of children with hearing loss in the Foothill SELPA Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs. The audiologist will assess and evaluate the degree of hearing impairment; assist in determining an appropriate educational program; provide liaison with community agencies; monitor condition of equipment; and educate parents to intervention and educational resources. Actual responsibilities may range depending on the needs of the educational program.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California Credential authorizing service in Audiology. Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessment experience preferred. • Graduate degree. • Fellow of the American Audiology Association (F-AAA) OR American Speech and Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in (CCC) Audiology (must be able to secure during first year of employment). • The position requires subject matter expertise in audiology as well as related experience.
