Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential OR eligibility to obtain a credential based on three (3) years of verifiable work experience in the subject area; in lieu of three (3) years, one year of verifiable work experience WITH the completion of a minimum of 48 semester units of postsecondary education in the related subject area. Requirements for applying for a preliminary CTE credential can be found at: https://www.ctc.ca.gov/docs/default-source/leaflets/cl888.pdf (CTC's application for the DESIGNATED SUBJECTS CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATIONTEACHING CREDENTIAL). -Possession of a valid California driver’s license -Possession of a high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred -Passage of CBEST and/or District Proficiency required (To be scheduled if not completed) - could be waived soon
