We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technology Instructor located at our campus in Menifee, CA. Mt. San Jacinto Community College District seeks an Engineering Technology Instructor to teach and develop courses in Engineering Technologies. This is a full-time tenure-track academic position. Full-time faculty are typically assigned 15 lecture hours (or the equivalent in laboratory, studio or related activities) of student contact time per week. Office hours are also required. Faculty are expected to participate in college governance through Academic Senate appointments to standing councils, committees, and/or a variety of task forces. Teaching assignments may include a mixture of day, evening, multi-campus, off-campus classes and online classes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Master's degree in any field of engineering technology or engineering (attach transcripts); OR 2. A Bachelor's degree in either of the above AND a Master's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, biological science or chemistry OR A Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, engineering technology or engineering AND a professional engineer's license (attach transcripts): OR 3. The equivalent, AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Strong academic preparation in engineering as evidenced by undergraduate and graduate level coursework 2. Demonstrated ability and experience teaching a variety of engineering 3. One (1) year of recent (within the last 5 years) teaching experience teaching in engineering comparable at an accredited community college or university 4. Demonstrated commitment to diverse teaching methods and learning styles, particularly as applied to the learning of engineering technologies 5. Evidence of a strong commitment to remain current in engineering 6. Demonstrated commitment to community college education, as demonstrated in personal and/or professional experience 7. Demonstrated excellence in teaching (enthusiasm, knowledge of subject matter, student motivational skills and ability to teach students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds) 8. Interest in and/or ability to use relevant and modern technology in engineering technologies including online instruction
