Permanent position at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School EXAMINATION INFORMATION: All applicants must pass the basic skills test before being considered for an interview. **The basic skills test will be waived for those applicants who have taken and passed all portions of the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). Please provide a copy of the CBEST card when submitting an application for the position. ACCOMMODATIONS: In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, applicants with disabilities may request that reasonable accommodation be given related to the examination process itself. Applicants must notify the Office of Human Resources in writing of the type of accommodations being requested at the time of filing the application. Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school, plus complete two years of study at an institution of higher education (college level) or forty-eight (48) semester units, including a math and an English class with a passing grade of ‘C’ or higher or obtain an Associate’s degree or higher*; good general background and work experience, including one year of paid or volunteer experience working with school-age children desired. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance, a tuberculosis clearance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. If you are hired, we will require you to prove that you have received the COVID-19 vaccine(s) or have a valid religious or medical reason not to be vaccinated. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions for the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential data form, which is attached to the job application.
