A theater technician’s role is to run the lighting and sound components of theatrical performances, ensuring everything runs smoothly and at the right times. As a theater technician, your job duties are to set up equipment prior to shows, operate sound and lighting equipment during performances, and break down equipment at the end of shows. Make sure the equipment setup is safe for actors, presenters, and other technicians to be around.
