
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)-Bilingual Spanish Preferred at Anaheim Elementary School District (TK-6)
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Graduation from high school or a G.E.D equivalent, supplemented by college level course work in Licensed Vocational Nursing training Medical Healthcare Programs; 2 years of clinical Licensed Vocational Nursing experience in patient care, including at least one year experience with patients involving high levels of specialized physical assistance, requiring licensed nursing care. • Valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California, including requirements for administration of prescribed medications. • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications. • Valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability. • Knowledge administrative practices and procedures, including record keeping and filing practices and procedures. • Knowledge of methods and practices of performing routine medical/physical care of medically complex students, including the administration of medicines, g-tube feedings, and trachea care and suctioning. • Ability to perform assigned medically-oriented assessments and specialized health care procedures efficiently and with compassion. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance from ground, waist and chest level.
