Requirements / Qualifications

Education: -A Master’s degree in the area of Speech – Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders and Sciences is required. -Specialized training and/or experience in Augmentative Alternative Communication is preferred Experience: -A minimum of two (2) years working in a setting directly related to the assessment and implementation of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) and/or Assistive Technology is preferred. Credentials: -A valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or a Clinical or Rehabilitation Services Credential with Speech, Language and Hearing authorization is required. -An ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology is preferred. -An Assistive Technology Certificate is also preferred.
