Job Summary
The Delivery Driver position requires the ability to organize perishable food items and inventoried supplies, and deliver them from our central kitchen to school cafeteria sites on an organized route and time requirements. Loads and unloads perishable food items and inventoried supplies, and other equipment, and reloads empty carts as needed. The Delivery Driver position also requires the ability to assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed. Requires the ability to lift medium to heavy weights of 50-75 pounds. Requires communication skills sufficient to interact with peers within the immediate work group, other staff, and outside delivery staff or vendors.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requires high school reading and writing abilities, or the equivalent, sufficient to carrying out all required duties of the position. Requires a valid Class C Driver's License. Requires a current forklift and electric pallet jack certificate (both will be provided as part of the Agency's trainings) DOJ background check will be required. Requires the ability to drive a 22' delivery truck with an electric liftgate. Work hours: 4:00am to 12:30pm.
