Job Summary

Job Summary

The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is looking for experienced candidates to apply for the Implementation Expert - Financial (ERP) role. This individual will suppport the leveraging of technological innovations to redefine fundamental business processes in educational agencies throughout Los Angeles County. The Implementation Expert - Financial (ERP) will be supporting the Business Enhancement System Transformation (BEST) project, a multi-year system modernization initiative for LACOE and over 125 agencies, including school districts, community colleges, charter schools, and joint powers authorities. For more information about the project, visit: www.lacoe.edu/Technology/BEST-Project The Implementation Expert-Financial (ERP) will work with members of the BEST Project in systems development and implementation. The incumbent provides functional and technical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) expertise in the design, build, development, functional evaluation, testing, and functional execution of a large-scale enterprise business system implementation project including the financial function configuration for developing software applications for areas such as general ledger, accounts payable and receivables, purchasing order/inventory, grants, business intelligence, and budgeting systems.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required Education and Experience Education: A bachelor’s degree, preferably in management information systems (MIS), systems engineering, accounting, business or public administration, finance, computer science, human resources, or other field closely related to the job requirements of the classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Five years of ERP systems implementation and/or post-production support, including one full ERP System implementation life cycle in one or more of the following functional areas: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, billing, purchasing, asset management, project costing, grants, and/or business intelligence. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
