Job Summary

Job Summary

Under immediate supervision, learn to provide counseling services to employees of agency partners through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP); learn to assess the focus of the problem, sources or causes of the problem, then determine if the problem can be treated through brief solution focused therapy or needs to be referred to an outside agency; learn to diagnose the problem, then identify the community resources available to help the client; learn to use established therapeutic techniques, methods, and principles to work with clients.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position is open to current students enrolled in a Marriage and Family Therapy Master's Degree program and/or completion of a minimum of forty-five (45) semester or sixty (60) quarter Master's level academic units. Graduates of a Marriage and Family Therapy Masters Degree program within the past 6 months may also qualify with the required BBS board registration as an MFT Associate.
