POSITION DESCRIPTION: The holder may serve as substitute for no more than 30 days for any one teacher and may only serve for a maximum of 90 days total during the school year. The permit is valid for 1 year and may only be renewed once. These documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, physical (if required), proof of required education, TB, Fingerprint clearance, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required as per Public Health Order. RCOE will engage in an interactive process for new hires with valid medical or religious exemption requests as related to the COVID-19 vaccination.

*********************************************************************** CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: RCOE will help you apply for this special permit. The fee will be waived the first time only if the application is received by the Commission on/or after July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The fee thereafter is $102.50 and is paid electronically once the Emergency Substitute Permit recommendation has been made through the Commission On Teacher Credentialing. Personnel will make the recommendation for you after all the required materials have been submitted. To apply for an emergency/prospective teacher permit, please submit the following: - Official or unofficial transcripts showing completion of a minimum of 90 semester units of course work from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university. - Verification of enrollment in a regionally-accredited four-year California college or university - Submit proof of meeting one of the following Basic Skills Requirements (CL-667) https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/basic-skills-requirement-(cl-667) (copy and paste to browser) - Pass CBEST - Qualifying Score on SAT (500 Reading & 550 or higher Math) or ACT (22 English & 23 Math) - Qualifying Score on CSU Early Assessment Program - Qualifying scores of 3 or high on AP English and AP calculus College Board Exams. - Pass Basic Exam from another state - Meet basic skills requirement by course work (reading, writing and math) - Pass Multiple Subject CSET Plus Writing Skills Exam To apply for this position please attach the following to this Edjoin application:
