Must have knowledge of: · California approved CTE curriculum standards for Education, Child Development and Family Services · Instructional strategies, theories and research concerning the growth and development of children through adolescences. · Current job market trends and requirements for employment in the field of child development. Desired knowledge of: · Infant care · First aid/CPR · Workplace soft skills Ability to · Work productively with independent initiative. · Envision improvements and act on them in a coherent, productive manner · Prepare reports and maintain records. · Create real world experience for students through field trips, observations and in the classroom. · Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with College staff. · Participate as an integral member of the CTE team. · Work in a diverse socio-economic and multicultural community.
