Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, our Silicon Valley Adult Education provides courses for the San Jose Unified School District.

Job Summary
Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) Program serves a diverse population of high school learners within six local districts. Under the Strong Workforce Program (SWP), public schools are under greater pressure to accelerate learning and help more students reach post-secondary education and careers in order to strengthen regional economies. The temporary position of Post-Secondary Transition Specialist will provide guidance and assistance for students within the program, College Nexus, where supports are offered for students transitioning to college through dual enrollments, provide information on economic benefits of attending community colleges to parent(s)/guardian(s), assist with workshops on Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) and Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) processes with partnering community colleges while generating data collection on various facets of the College Nexus project. The Post-Secondary Transition Specialist will work under the direction of the Principal or designated Administrator.
