ABOUT THE ROLE: The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is pleased to announce the job opportunity of Relocation Services Coordinator. Current and future vacancies for the role will be in our Furniture and Interiors Group and the Non-Academic Facilities Planning Unit. The Furniture and Interiors Group (FIG) provides professional interior design services, including comprehensive furniture and equipment provisioning for all school facilities through multiple programs including comprehensive modernizations, additions, furniture replacement program, parent centers, school upgrades, conversions and Prop 39 co-locations. Beyond providing upgraded environments for 21st century learning, FIG facilitates the removal of aging, deteriorating and potentially unsafe obsolete furnishings to both support and enhance the learning environment. FIG researches appropriate furniture and equipment Visit us at www.lausdjobs.org requirements and assists the school with the selection of furniture and equipment, budget management, space and interiors planning, acquisition, delivery, and installation. The Non-Academic Facilities Planning Unit of the Facilities Services Division (FSD) performs the essential function of providing the District with in-house planning expertise to maximize the efficient use of non-academic office space owned and leased by the District. The unit plans the allocation of over five million square feet of non-academic space and works proactively with central administration and local regions in reviewing and validating office, storage, and other requirements Additional responsibilities will include: • Coordinating, scheduling, and executing relocation and MAC requests. • Evaluating relocation and MAC requests and determining appropriate scheduling and vendors to use. • Coordinating with various District offices such as the Information Technology Division, Maintenance and Operations, Truck Operations, Procurement, Facilities Environmental Tech

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency Experience: One year of property or facility management experience preparing scope of work, managing vendor contracts, and scheduling project activities related to real estate or government or commercial buildings. Related experience with educational facilities and/or high rise properties is preferable. Additional Qualifications: A valid California Driver License. Use of an automobile.
