This is a one year position at Langston Hughes Academy in Stockton, CA. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direction of the Business Manager, the School Site Health Specialist provides basic health services to students, assists in the planning and implementation of school health programs in cooperation with regulatory bodies and school administrative personnel, evaluates the health status of students and the health service program, shares information regarding health practices, first aid, and other related subjects, and serves as a resource pertaining to student health management strategies. In partnership with K-12 Health, the School Site Health Coordinator also assists students with blood glucose testing, insulin injections, and other health-related services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements, as needed, systems and protocols to manage information and student health records.
