POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Administrative Assistant (Confidential) is done for the purpose(s) of providing administrative and highly accountable, diverse technical and secretarial support and services to a Cabinet-level administrator; organizing the activities of the division’s administrative personnel; coordinating communication; providing work direction and leadership to clerical staff; ensuring compliance of activities in the division's area of responsibility with financial, legal and administrative requirements; provides assistance with the negotiation process; and providing information, recommendations and/or direction as may be requested by the division head. This position is a designated confidential position. The Administrative Assistant is an experienced level classification. Incumbents in this class provide support to Cabinet-level administrators. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Five years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience is required. Two years of experience in an educational setting is desired. Training and/or experience equivalent to two years of college or university education is desired. REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED TESTING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications. Those who meet the minimum qualifications will be e-mailed an invitation for testing. Testing will tentatively take place on August 24, 2021.
