POSITION: Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in financial record keeping for student activities and related funds, and performs related work as required. ------------------------------------------ SELECTION PROCEDURE: All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled below. Areas covered on the examination are math, spelling, filing, name and number checking, a 10-key calculator drill, a High School Treasurer Test, a WORD exercise, an EXCEL exercise, and timed typing. Typing certificate for 30 net wpm within the past six months will be accepted or applicants may take timed typing test at exam (online typing certificates will not be accepted). If submitting a certificate, it must be submitted with application, by final filing date. Computers will be used for typing exercises. Calculators may be used on the examination but will not be provided. ------------------------------------------ EXAMINATION INFORMATION: LOCATION: WILLOW CREEK CENTER, 1026 MOHR LANE, CONCORD, COMPUTER LAB DATE: Friday, July 30, 2021 TIME: 9 AM (TEST TIME APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 HOURS); NO ADMITTANCE ONCE TESTING BEGINS. ---------------------------------

REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess the knowledge and skill required for successful job performance as follows: TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of high school level bookkeeping courses and three years of clerical experience with emphasis on the maintenance of accounting records. KNOWLEDGE OF: • General accounting and bookkeeping procedures • Standard office practices and procedures • District policies and school policies and procedures • Math Computations SKILL IN: • Financial record keeping • Preparing reports according to established guidelines • The use of a variety of office machines • Performing mathematical computations rapidly and accurately • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships • Good judgment in making decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures ABILITY TO: • Work independently • Must be able to function autonomously • Compile information and prepare reports • Follow written and oral instructions ------------------------------------------
