Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications and Description: It is preferred that applicants have teaching experience and a bachelor's degree in this subject area. A master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred. It is preferred that applicants have certification from the Department of Catholic Schools or hold a master’s degree or licentiate in Theology. In assigning sections we strive to balance teachers’ preparations with their area of highest interest. Experience and qualifications to teach various areas within our religious studies curriculum is preferred. The candidate should be a self-starter, very knowledgeable in his/her teaching field, flexible, and passionate about educating young adults. The candidate should be committed to developing and practicing cultural competence in their role as teacher and colleague. The candidate should also have experience with and be committed to developing best practices to support remote teaching and learning. Experience with project-based learning is preferred, but not required.
