ABOUT INSIGHT SCHOOLS OF CALIFORNIA AND THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST POSITION: Insight Schools of California (a network of three public charter schools) delivers online/virtual home based-instruction to students in grades 9-12 in California. Insight Schools of California serves at-risk students. We use Stride as our curriculum provider for the basis of instruction and teachers provide live instruction via the Newrow platform. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to maintain daily attendance, attend instructional sessions, and complete their coursework each day. The position of Program Specialist, supports California School’s Special Education Team. Duties include attendance at high need IEP meetings, supervision of special education personnel, IEP team placement arrangements at alternative programs, implementation of IDEA mandates within an independent study, virtual program. Additionally, SELPA meeting attendance and correspondence, legal compliance and responses and additional duties as assigned by the director. Program Specialists work Full Time, Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-4:00PM. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours.
