Job Summary
The Social Worker Community Liaison provides communications and support to school district, parents, families, and students. These classifications focus on a range of services such as social work, parent education, community liaison, and community engagement. The primary responsibility is to assist students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, by creating safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments while strengthening connections between home and school.
Requirements / Qualifications
MUST ATTACH THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS WITH YOUR APPLICATION: Cover Letter Resume Three letters of recommendation (letters must be dated and current; no letters older than 2019 will be accepted) Copy of Credential PLEASE NOTE: Applications submitted without the required materials will not move forward for paper screening. Qualifications: Requires a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential with specialization in School Social Work or a PPS with any specialization with a Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) and minimum of three years of experience. MUST be Bilingual (Spanish). This position is for the 2021-22 school year. First date of paid service will be July 30, 2021. Due to the 198 contract days, it's typically 6 days before first teacher work day in August and 6 days after last teacher work day in June. The District grants up to 10 years prior teaching experience. Separate stipends for Masters and Doctoral degrees. Full family health coverage as well as employee, dental, vision and life insurance. Mandatory New Employee Orientation - Date TBD (No compensation).
