This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE or 40%) that is tenure track at La Cañada High School. If the chosen candidate holds additional teaching authorizations or areas of expertise, the position may increase with the addition of one or more elective courses.

Brief Description of Position: La Cañada Unified School District has a vacancy for a part-time, instrumental music teacher for the 2021-22 school year. This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE or 40%) that is tenure track at La Cañada High School. If the chosen candidate holds additional teaching authorizations or areas of expertise, the position may increase with the addition of one or more elective courses. Qualifications: 1. Credential: Valid California Single Subject Credential in music, including a certification to teach English Language Learner students. 2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Work Year: This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE or 40%); August through early June (10 months); 186 contracted workdays. First day of paid service is Thursday, August 12, 2021. A new teacher orientation day has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, 2021. The first day with students will be Monday, August 16, 2021, and the last day of the teacher work year is Friday, June 3, 2022.
