POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Licensed Vocational Nurse is done for the purpose(s) of providing direct clinical care to meet the health needs of students; documenting and maintains students health information required by federal/state/local agencies, and providing appropriate care and/ referral for ill, medically fragile, and/or injured students as may be required. This position is coordinated through the Division of Student Programs and Services, Special Education unit and monitored by the school nurse. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Six months experience working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Experience working with school age children desirable. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or GED; completion of all coursework in good standing from an accredited college or university required for that institution’s Licensed Vocational Nursing program.

These documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency, Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse license in good standing, Fingerprint clearance, TB clearance, Required testing, Medical examination (this is a Medical Category II position which requires successful passing of preemployment physical), and some offers of employment are contingent upon successful passing of a physical examination including documentation, immunizations, and/or exemption as required. *********************************************************************** RECRUITMENT PROCESS *********************************************************************** PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications.
