Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director/Director of Special Education, this position is responsible for supporting and improving outcomes for students in special educations. The Program Specialists will provide technical assistance, training, and support to school staff in implementing special education support, services, and assessments for students with disabilities. All employees are expected to follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred A Program Specialist is a specialist who holds a valid Special Education Credential, Clinical Services Credential, Health Services Credential, or a School Psychologist Authorization

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate/Severe

Five (5) years' experience in special education • Has advanced training and related experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs and a specialized in-depth knowledge in preschool disabilities, career vocational development, or one or more areas of major disabling conditions • Experience working in virtual educational settings is preferred • Ability and comfort in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a demonstrated ability and desire to flexibly shift responsibilities over time as the role and department evolve • Excellent analytical and data-based decision making skills • Strong customer service orientation in approach to working with teachers, School administrators, and families • Excellent written and oral communication skills • TB Test Clearance. • Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance • Complete the School’s Transportation/Driving Policy and provide all supporting documentation to the School’s Human Resources Department
