This is a 10-month position that accumulates one sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD pays 100% for employee health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Minimum Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. degree
Valid credential in special education or closely related field
Master's degree in special education or closely related field (preferred)
Five (5) yrs experience in public schools as a classroom teacher in general or special education setting.
Experience in developing resources in curriculum, instruction and assessment that support teacher efficacy. Experience in utilizing technology in instruction and professional development.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
• Current laws and educational trends pertaining to handicapped children with exceptional needs.
• Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA)
• Developing resources in curriculum, instruction and assessment that support teacher efficacy.
• Utilizing technology in instruction and professional development.
