Requirements / Qualifications

THE POSITION: Under the direction of the Business Services Supervisor, perform specialized and technical payroll and fiscally related clerical functions in maintaining payroll, accounts payable, financial systems and statistical records utilizing manual and computer-assisted processes. Responsible for accurate data collection and processing, and completion of technical accounting reports according to California School Accounting Manual account structure, regulations, and standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates ability to perform the required duties. A typical qualifying background would include graduation from high school or equivalent, and two years of college level course work in accounting or related field and three (3) years of experience in the preparation, maintenance, and review of financial records and accounts. Experience working in a school district is desirable.

Should a large number of candidates pass the written exam, a higher passing score than 70% may be required to progress.
