DEFINITION Under direct supervision, to assist in performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction and repair work on District buildings, grounds, and equipment, and do related work as required consistent with the job description. TYPICAL TASKS The incumbent may assist in performing maintenance work on buildings, grounds and equipment in the District. May be requested to work independently after given appropriate direction. Examples of duties: (NOTE: The following tasks are typical for positions in the classification. Any single position may not perform all of these tasks, and/or may perform similar, related tasks not listed here.) • assist with skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the areas of electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation systems, painting and carpentry; • perform heavy manual labor and routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment; • perform related duties as assigned. LICENSE Possession and maintenance of a valid California Driver's License.
