CAMPUS SUPERVISOR II DEFINITION: Under general supervision, to patrol a school campus and immediately adjacent areas for the purpose of discouraging improper behavior, maintaining plant security, monitoring visitor activities, and to assist school administrators in the general supervision of students on and off the campus and to do other related work as required. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (NOTE: Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor necessarily be limited to these examples.) ...Provides constant supervision on and off campus; ...patrols school hallways; ...patrols campus during school hours providing general supervision of students outside of class and remains alert for problems likely to disrupt education process or be physically injurious to persons or property; ...may be asked to attend school activities both on and off campus, as directed and compensated, and assists faculty with supervision; ...checks cars parked on campus and requests police to cite violators; ...assists administration and/or police department in investigating crimes committed on campus; ...intervenes in situations likely to result in disruption or injury; ...assists teachers or administrators and refers students to administration in cases of serious or repeated violations of school rules; ...checks and sends students who are out of class during class time back to class or to the Counseling Office; ...checks students and non-students who are entering or leaving campus during school hours; ...may refer violators to the Dean of Students for detention; ...checks restrooms and other problem areas on campus for smoking and/or drug problems; ...remains attuned to and reports unusual situations to counselors or administration; ...supervises students in cafeteria; ...may supervise detention and after school work program; ...assists with preventive discipline by explaining school rules to students and parents; and ...other duties as assigned by administration.
