Our program would love to help you reach your professional goals. Tutors in the PAL program (Personal Assistant for Learning) receive specific training on tutoring and teaching pedagogies with Chaffey English faculty, have opportunities to attend professional workshops that discuss the hiring process and resume building, and engage in day to day practices inside an English 1A classroom. 

Who?

- Students who have completed English 1A or equivalent

- Students with experience providing written and oral feedback

- Students with experience navigating a college campus and college life

- Students who are willing to collaborate with staff, faculty, admin, and students

What?

- Apprentice 3 or Apprentice 9 tutor position ($12.50-$15.00) 

- 6-10 hr. minimum weekly commitment

- Online and in-person training required prior to and during the term
