The Conservatory of Vocal/Instrumental Arts (COVAH) is a small college-high school located on the Merritt Community College campus in Oakland, CA.  COVAH is a performing arts based school where students blend the arts and academics.  COVAH students participate in 2 concerts a year and perform locally and on tour.  Students have toured Quebec, Canada; Washington D.C.; New York; Catalina Island; and are currently working on a tour to Paris, France.  COVAH students take concurrent college and high school classes and can earn an AA or AS degree by the time they graduate high school.  COVAH is looking for a strong leader with experience as a school administrator. The Director will be responsible for daily operation, staff and teacher oversight, curriculum, budgeting and reporting, and school discipline.  The ideal candidate will have a background in music or other area of performing arts.  If you are looking for a small academically challenging environment, complete the online application.
