About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Eligibility is determined via a competitive evaluation of a candidate’s training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the questions on the application. The Position: Under the direction of the Superintendent, plan, organize, control and direct District-wide Human Resources, Business Services, and other operational activities including accounting, budget, information technology, nutrition service, purchasing, risk management, custodial, transportation, facility planning, maintenance and repair functions; coordinate and direct communications, information, strategic planning, recruitment, selection, compensation, health and welfare benefits, workers’ compensation, collective bargaining, policy development, credentialing, personnel and resources to meet District needs and assure smooth and efficient Division activities; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
