About the Employer
With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 12th Superintendent, Ms. Renee Hill and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.

All applicants must meet the criteria outlined in Title 10, USC, Section 2033, JROTC requirements, the member’s Military Unit records, and high standards or military bearing, moral character and appearance. *Must qualify for or possess a Valid California Designated Subjects Special Subjects Teaching Credential with English Learner Certification. *Must have JROTC Instructor Certification *Must possess a valid driver’s license SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS: 1. Online EdJoin Certificated Application. 2. Letter of Interest, résumé, and three current (3) letters of recommendation. 3. Copy of Designated Subjects Special Subjects Teaching Credential. 4. SALARY:
Minimum Instructor Pay (MIP) is the difference between retired pay and the active duty pay and allowances (excluding hazardous duty and special pays) that JROTC instructor would receive if ordered to active duty, plus health, dental, vision, life insurance and Employee Assistance Program. This is a twelve month pay schedule. $64,376.65-$71,048.22
