Requirements / Qualifications

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Translation Services Supervisor is done for the purpose(s) of supervising, evaluating and monitoring the quality of oral interpretations, as well as the preparation of written translations from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, or another language other than English, for district staff; provides technical advice and assists staff with language and vocabulary issues. In addition, the position is responsible for supervising and providing necessary oral and written language needs for biliterate/bilingual translation, and performs other related duties as assigned. This is a designated classified supervisory position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of responsible and successful experience conducting or monitoring translation services and one year supervisory experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Master’s degree from accredited college/university is desirable. REQUIRED TESTING: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications. Those who meet the minimum qualifications will be e-mailed an invitation for testing. Testing is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on April 2, 2019.
