Scappoose School District Scappoose, Oregon Invites applications for the position of Superintendent The Scappoose School District Board of Directors is seeking an educational leader with an outstanding record of achievement to serve as Superintendent beginning July 1, 2019. The School Board anticipates offering an annual base salary in the range of $130,000 to $145,000 plus benefits for the position. Scappoose School District is located along the Columbia River about 20 miles west of Portland and just over the hill from Oregon’s high tech Silicon Forest in Beaverton and Hillsboro. Serving about 2,500 students, the staff is a dedicated group of teachers, administrators and support staff with a reputation of caring for students, retaining employees long-term and providing a positive link with the community. The district has one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools where learning is the focus and a promising future is the goal for all students. Scappoose HS graduates 90% of its students – highest in the county. The district also sponsors two public, K-8 charter schools – Sauvie Island Academy and South Columbia Family School.
