Job Summary: Under the direction of the general supervision of the school principal and PBIS Coach, within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures work as a team with the teacher, school counselor, administration to provide additional support to students with high behavior needs. This position is intended to provide behavioral support to general education students and support the general education teacher in order to implement consistent positive behavior management strategies.

Any combination of experience and training which would indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed herein. -Completion of two years of college or equivalent. -Two years’ experience working with students. -At least one year working with students in an educational setting is desired. -Specialized training in the areas of manual physical restraint, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Positive Behavior Support Systems and data collection desired. -Coursework in psychology, child growth and development, education, special education or other related field.
ESSA compliance may be shown by college transcripts showing at least 48 semester units of coursework or a copy of an Associates degree (or higher). Passing scores on an ESSA proficiency test also meet this requirement. If you need to arrange to take a proficiency test, please contact our office before the closing date of this posting. Applicants passing paper screening will be contacted for interviews.
