Current available positions at: - Canoas Elementary (0.75 FTE, 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) - Canoas Elementary (0.75 FTE, 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) - Gardner Elementary (0.375 FTE, 3 hours/day,5 days/week) - John Muir Middle (0.75 FTE, 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) - Olinder Elementary (0.75 FTE, 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) - Special Education(0.75 FTE, 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) - Terrell Elementary (0.75 FTE 6 hours/day, 5 days/week) Requirements: 1. HS Diploma or GED; AA Degree or higher in lieu of test; passage of San Jose Unified IA test (K-12). Note that proof of an Associates Degree or higher is accepted in lieu of completing the tests. 2. Diapering and toileting may be required 3. Autism Spectrum Training (40 hours - fees apply). Please contact HR is your interested in doing the training.

San José Unified has introduced new Instructional Associate's Tests. If you passed the Instructional Associate's Tests prior to December 15, 2016, you will need to re-test. Applications must be submitted before you are invited to take a District test. Retesting and initial testing will be on an invitation-only basis, once your application has been received. Test dates are no longer posted on the internet. No walk-ins will be accepted.   • CPR/First Aid Certification (Must have classroom component)
  • Copy of Transcript (AA degree or higher)
  •      OR Proof of HS Graduation (Diploma or GED)
