Silicon Valley High School is very different type of high school. We operate a growing credentialed online high school offering supplemental courses as well as a high school diploma program. Our teachers work from home, in their own time, grading assignments and providing guidance to students. As a teacher, you would receive an email each day with a list of assignments that need to be graded. You grade the assignments online and they're submitted back to the students. It doesn't matter to us where you live, what hours you work, or how you fit your work into your daily schedule, as our primary concern is that students get their assignments graded within a reasonable time, which ideally is around 24 hours. Student questions are emailed to you and you can respond through our Moodle system. Our approach to interacting with students is to be highly supportive and positive. It's important to us that our teachers have a consistent philosophy and approach. Experience of Moodle would be helpful. As our school is growing, there is potential for this position to develop and become a long-term arrangement.
