Successful experience as a Teacher, Leadership Skills, Experience as a school administrator who has led a school reform effort, Masters degree preferred. Skills and Knowledge in the areas of: communications, human relations, budget, management, education, school law, curriculum and assessment. JOB DUTIES: - Provides leadership to staff through a dynamic change process, while developing and maintaining a quality instructional program for the school - Develops and supervises the school budget - Represents the school with all community groups - Develops the Master Schedule of the school - Oversees the student discipline procedures of the school - Recommends to the Superintendent the hiring and dismissal of personnel - Evaluates all personnel, certificated and classified, with the assistance of the Assistant Principal - Communicates to parents and the community - Coordinates all staff development at the school - Oversees the health, safety, and welfare of the students and staff working at the school - Supervises school and facility - Handles decisions in periods of emergency - Works collaboratively with other schools on campus This is an announcement of a position and does not constitute a commitment for an interview.
