The California Montessori Project (CMP) is a K-8 Public Charter Network in the Sacramento/El Dorado county areas with 7 campuses located at Elk Grove, College Greens/Sacramento, Shingle Springs, Carmichael, Orangevale and Fair Oaks/Citrus Heights. CMP is currently accepting applications for full-time teachers for the new school year.

Requirements: Lead teachers are required to possess a California State Teaching Credential, NCLB certification through subject matter competency (CSET or coursework waiver), and CLAD/ELL authorization. The most successful candidates will also possess a Montessori teaching certificate for the grades they teach and verifiable Montessori classroom teaching experience, or be willing to enroll in an accredited Montessori training program concurrent with employment.

We will also consider Montessori trained teachers with a Bachelor’s Degree and the ability to obtain their California State Internship Teaching Certificate prior to the start of school. More information on credentialing options and application requirements is available at www.ctc.ca.gov or through your local university advising office. Candidates who possess exemplary Montessori qualifications may also schedule time to meet with the Director of Human Resources to explore teacher credentialing options. All candidates must be able to obtain a minimum of an internship credential by the start of school in order to hold Lead Teacher positions.

If teachers have a clear California Teaching Credential but no Montessori training, offers of employment are contingent upon enrolling in and obtaining a Montessori certification for the appropriate age levels while working concurrently at CMP. More information on accredited regional Montessori Teacher Training programs is available through the internet or at CMP's Webpage (under the Employment tab) or at www.MontessoriTrainingCenter.net for local area training information.
