If you have a MINIMUM of 3 years teaching experience as the LEAD Teacher (not an aid or substitute) in a K-6 classroom, and have training as a reading specialist, we have a wonderful opportunity for you! As a reading acquisition and math development tutor at Skibby Learning Center, you will work 1:1 with children ages 5 to 12. Each hour-long tutoring session will incorporate multi- sensory learning including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques. Each lesson you create will be tailored to the specific needs of the individual child. We are not a chain homework club, but teach to facilitate learning. Our center is open Monday through Friday, and some weekends. Compensation is generous, depending on experience and teaching specialties (reading specialist, special education).
