Job Summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Principal, teach content and skills in Mathematics, utilizing Common Core State Standards. DUTIES – E=Essential Duties Selects books and instructional aids to achieve instructional goals and behavioral objectives E; adapts Mathematics material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge pupils E; participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school and on the district level E; other responsibilities as detailed in the Albany Teacher Job Description E; other duties as assigned E; provides individual or small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students and accommodates circumstances where a variety of projects and experiments are being worked on simultaneously E; establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for a productive learning environment during class sessions E; communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress E; participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities E Requirements: 1. Ability to work cooperatively 2. Knowledge of District adopted Math curriculum 3. Current California Single Subject Mathematics Teaching Credential 4. Math major preferred 5. EL authorization 6. Desire and ability to teach all levels from AP Statistics to credit-recovery
