Job Summary
The Assistant Principal is responsible for assisting the school principal in the planning, organization, administration, and management of assigned school(s) with emphasis on improving the school's instructional program. Provides administrative leadership in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of student programs to meet the guidelines of the Safe School Zones, Drug Free School Zones, Public Safety and Violence Protection, Child Protection Act, student attendance, student supervision, student wellness, and other such federal and state guidelines. The position assists with supervising staff, creating a safe environment, monitoring curriculum & instruction, and other duties associated with the successful operation of a comprehensive high school, continuation high school &/or alternative school.
